Soror Nodisha J. Echols, comes to Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter from the Mighty Midwest. Initiated into our beloved sisterhood in Spring 2007 at Waukegan Alumnae Chapter just an hour north of Chicago, Soror Echols has been a very dedicated and active member of Delta. Since her initiation, Nodisha has worked to continue her love of public service and to assist in the activities of her home chapter. However, due to an abrupt relocation to Alpharetta, GA, Soror Echols was forced to leave behind Waukegan Alumnae where she was highly regarded.
Soror Echols did not disappear into the abysmal world of the un-noticed that sometimes plague members when joining a new chapter. She came to Marietta-Roswell Alumnae Chapter full of life, ideas, and a willingness to work despite being new to the city, chapter and Sorority, her love for and dedication to Delta was unwavering. She currently is a member of the Technology, Arts & Letters, Physical and Mental Health, Membership and Policies and Procedure committees. She is also an active member of the MRAC Step Team who placed 3rd at the 49th National Convention Step Competition in Orlando, Fl. Being a member of these committees requires time, patience, fortitude and responsibility; attributes in which Nodisha possess.
Not only is she a dedicated member of Delta, but Soror Nodisha Echols has also been an exemplary public servant. Currently, she is an avid volunteer and member for Starlight Starbright Childrens Foundation and National Society of Black Engineers respectively. She is also a past board member and committee chair for Children's Dance Theatre Chicago in which she continues to extend her reach, despite the distance.
Soror Echols is currently employed as a Systems Engineer for Enterprise Monitoring at the Information Technology Division of Macys. Along with a friend and Soror, she is co-owner of Upstage Magazine, Inc., a performing arts entertainment resource for the urban performer. Performing Arts, in the realm of dance, acting and modeling are her most cherished hobbies as she has performed on amateur and professional levels including Chicago Rush and Chicago Bulls cheerleading teams. Her reliability, determination and go-getter outlook on life is what has led her to her accomplishments. Like fine wine that gets better with time, Soror Nodisha Echols has only just begun.
Congratulations to
Soror Nodisha Echols,
MRAC LOVES YOU!
